Nefi is the Project Development Manager, trainer and consultant for people with autism and their families. She is a founding member of the Non-Profit Organization APIS and is a volunteer in the organization. For the last 20 years she has been working as a special teacher in special and primary schools. She is also a research fellow at the University of Northampton. She worked as a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator, an associate trainer at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute and a research associate at the Cyprus University of Technology. She has participated in European programs as the Head of Autism Assessment Support Practice – AASP and has trained hundreds of people on autism both in Cyprus and abroad. Both her doctoral dissertation and her research interests and publications revolve around autism.
